Needing some help/advice.

So I installed RSChildren and a few of the companion mods. For some reason though, all of the kids look as if they are wearing a leather face mask. I'm somewhat certain that the game is trying to apply both the RS heads and the vanilla heads at the same time but not 100%. I've searched and found no patches for this and the few forum and reddit posts I've found that are close say to make a merge file. All I have seen so far on merging is tutorials on how to merge mods into unified mods but this seems like this is a discrepancy between RS and the actual main files. If anyone can help with any advice or, if it is a case of merging, point me towards a good tutorial that doesn't assume that I'm already stupidly familiar with how to merge I'd be grateful. Here's my modlist/load order just in case it's something there that's causing this. Okay, so I've deleted the .esm and reacquired. I have even completely reinstalled Vortex. Still nothing. Guys'gals, please. I'm at a loss here. I'm not even running mod heavy. There's 28 mods in my list and only a couple require AAF. What am I doing wrong?

I'm running the latest version of vortex. The SKSE64 I'm running is anniversary 2.2.3 which is the version that supports 1.6.640, the build I'm currently running.

Hand installing skse64 was not something I'd thought of. Thank you. I'll give it a whirl and post if there are results. Thank you So, I loaded in and ran a test character. Nothing. No change. The only mods it recognizes are the two from bethesda.net and my lock pick bar. nothing else. I followed the manual instruction to the letter. What in the actual hell? Thanks for the idea but it apparently wasn't the issue.

I'm placing this here in the desperate hopes that someone can help me. I have been scouring the forums, googling like mad and carefully verifying and re-verifying every mod and every dependency I have. I recently had to reinstall my mods due to the forced update to semi-aniversary edition. No big deal, I was needing to go through and scrub my list anyways. Since then, I have not been able to get any mod requiring skse64, fores or xp32 to function. at all. I have read and reread installations. verified all my files. made sure I had the latest and greatest versions (Yes I'm on 2.2.3 of skse64. Someone mentioned that one already.) Ran FNIS and got the all clear. Skyrim shows I have no mods installed except for two I have through bethesda.net. I don't even see the mcm anymore. I'm tired, I'm frustrated, I'm bordering on deleting the whole game. Someone please help.

Greetings fellow mod users. So I recently started modding FO4. I've spent near years playing Skyrim modded and wanted to enjoy it with Fallout as well. The problem started when I went to download and install AAF(Advanced Animation Framework) I went to the authors page and got the latest but when I went to install it in Vortex, I get the following error. Errors were reported processing the installer for "AAF_V166-0_Beta" Installer Prerequisites not fulfilled: 'File fallout4.esm' is Active OR 'File fallout4.esm' is Inactive. This is a new error for me. Has anyone else seen this before? (Update) So, as was a suggestion I received from a friend, deleting the .esm file and reacquiring it netted no change. It's still giving the same error and not installing.

I am not sure this is the place to address Windows update problems, if that is the true problem, but you could try a system restore. I am hesitant to advice on this issue as I am a fanatic on keeping my pcs updated all the time. I usually check twice a week at the least and I have had no issues with windows. Might be wise to give some more info here to help people troubleshoot your issue though. A good start would be the version of windows you are using. Mine is windows 10 pro. Good luck! SSE is the only thing having an issue working since the update. And it's 10 Pro as well. I've tried launching vanilla as well. Still nothing. 100% CPU (or Graphics, or Memory) are usually related to one or more applications that are running in the background. (often it's something like Cortana, or Windows update, or Windows security, although there are plenty of others that can "go awry") As Indiao21 suggested, you would probably do better by asking elsewhere, but I'll give you a pointer for tracking at least part way to solution. open the task manager. click on the processes tab find the column named CPU. click the header (CPU) to bring the biggest drain to the top of the running application list open a browser type the name of the application shown, then add the phrase "100% CPU usage" click enter and it should return some link that says "fix CPU usage errors for (blah blah).exe" or something like that.That was actually the first thing I did. I'm still researching the issue from that angle. Still nothing.

Okay, I've looked through the forums and have not seen this so I am making a post. After the Windows security update on the 15th of march 2020, SSE no longer loads. A quick look over things has the CPU running at 100%. This was not the case prior to the update and I seem to be unable to uninstall this particular update. I'm continuing to research and work at the problem from a sysadmin standpoint but will appreciate any impute from the community. Thank you in advance. NP
