Step 1:
SAS Programming I: Essentials
This FREE online, self-paced e-learning course teaches SAS programming and provides instructions about how to use the software.
Step 2:
SAS Programming II: Data Manipulation Techniques
This online course is free for current BU students. (Please email buscasa@bu.edu for the access code to take this course for free.)
Step 3:
Prepare for the exam:
– Try some FREE sample problems
–Purchase a practice exam(Sorry, BUSCASA does not provide access to the practice exam!)
Step 4:
Register for the exam at Pearson
NOTE: Students can take the exam at a reduced rate of $90!
To register for the certification exam for a discounted fee, you need to contact SAS to request a voucher. Please note that you will need to provideone of the following as proof of affiliation for verification:
- a current, dated letter on university letterhead with the department head or other administrator’s signature with information on your enrollment or employment
- a copy of your current semester transcript with the university name, your name, and courses you are currently taking (For BU students, you can download a copy of your current transcript through the BU student link)
- a student ID or staff IDwith expiration date
You can either FAX proof to 919-677-4444 (Attention: SAS Certification — Please include your e-mail address with your faxed request) or provide an electronic copy via e-mail to certification@sas.com. Upon receipt of your information and verification, a 50% off voucher will be e-mailed to you.
