War Base: this amazing war base will make any Town Hall 5 attacker cry and the regular attacking strategies will not work against this base – after all a higher Town Hall attacker will have to jump in to get the 3-Star and waste an attack on that.
Trophy Base: this trophy base will help you gain some trophies while still protecting your storages to some degree so you can still get all your upgrades done.
Farming Base: this farming base prioritizes on protecting your loot as much as possible to save up for all the upgrades you need to get done at TH5. The perimeter is designed to make it as hard as possible to even get troops into the center.

War Base: working really well against the popular attacks you see at TH5 with a perimeter that will make it harder for troops to enter the core of the at a central position and smart defense placement that will make it hard to 3-Star.
Trophy Base: this base does everything necessary to keep attacking troops away from your core and Town Hall. This base will mess with troop pathing really well so less-experienced attackers will have problems building a proper funnel to enter it.
Farming Base: strong bulkheads and small wall compartments will group up troop and make it as tough as possible to enter the section where you have your storages.

If you’re looking for a base layout that you can use in Clan War as a Town Hall 5, you really want to check out this one here. It has a clean structure with the mini compartments at the bottom that will hold back attacking troops and keep the Mortar save.
On the top side you have the connected compartments with the funnels that lead into the traps and the Archer Towers keep the whole perimeter covered for maximum damage to all attacking troops. Really nice layout to use.

Here’s a really nice base for Town Hall 5 that you should use for your Home Village to keep it secure from attacks with troops like Giants, Goblins, Archers and Barbarians.
The outside buildings attract them to walk around the base rather than breaking into it and even if they break into the first compartments, they are relatively small so the Giants have to slowly go through the other walls while your defenses will take them down one by one.
Most attacks come from the bottom so the Spring Traps there are also really effective.

Trophy Base:With this base you have a solid setup to defend your resources and your trophies as well to push for the achievement at Town Hall 5. Most attacks against this base will be from the bottom side and the attackers often mess up clearing the outside properly so troops will start walking around the base and by the time they would enter the core, most troops are weakened enough so your defenses can take them out without much trouble
Unless you get hit by a higher Town Hall you will be fine using this base layout here.
War Base:This is the base layout that you really want to use in Clan War or CWL with your TH5 base. The edged Builder Huts are sometimes overseen ba the attacker and it might happen that they run out of time to clear them, especially when they attack with slow troops.
The inner base setup is small compartments to make it difficult to break through the walls and cleaning the outside buildings is also time-consuming and would mess with the pathing of Giants if the attacker messes this up.

Here we have a TH5 war base at it’s finest and you might think that the exposed Town Hall isn’t really helpful, right? Wait a second, the concept behind this is that the attacker will focus much on getting that Town Hall that he forgets that there’s an Air Defense in the middle that no troop will target until the base is cleared – and this is the problem for the attacker because Healers and all kinds of flying troops will get shot at by the Air Defense until they are gone and by the time the Air
Defense is the last structure the troops are already weakened or the time is up. So, all in all a really nice way to give the enemy TH5s a hard time in your next Clan War
