She is survived by her daughter, Charolette Roberson (Rob); four grandchildren, Connie Young (Adam), Cliff Eldred, Angela Bowe and Michael Bowe (Kim) and two Clayton Young. Forest Hill East Funeral Home 901-382-1000 KAREN WOOD "Susie" FULGHUM, passed away on June 12th at the age of 53 after a 2 year battle with Ovarian cancer. Susie graduated as a member of the Southaven High School class of 1976. She then went on to work at Bell South and for over 25 years. There, she was a member of the Communication Workers of America Local Union and worked as a Union Representative for many years. An avid softball player in the 70's 80's, Susie was known to carry a big stick and played a very mean shortstop.

During her latter years, Susie began "picking" before "American Pickers" was even a show on tv. No one knew the streets of High Point Terrace and Berclair better than Susie and you had to get up pretty early if you wanted to beat her to the good stuff! Susie is survived by her husband and life companion, Harold Fulghum, two sons, Tyler Fulghum and Geoffrey Fulghum, all of Memphis. She leaves four sisters; Anita Turner (David) and Ginger Throckmorton (David), both of Olive Branch, and Jan Helton (Jack) of Eudora, MS and Ann Boswell of Marion, AR. Susie also leaves 12 nieces and nephews and 16 great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Gene Wood and Juanita Turpen Wood of Olive Branch.

A service will be Saturday, June 15th at Hope Presbyterian Church Chapel at 8500 Walnut Grove Rd in Cordova. HOWELL JAMES, 95, died June 12, 2013. Lawrence- JOHN J. LEE of Collierville, TN, beloved husband of Sally Ann Lee, passed away peacefully on June 12th, surrounded by his loved ones in his home. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Elizabeth Lee and his sister Patricia Sweeney. John was born in Philadelphia, at Presbyterian Medical Center.

He grew up in in West Philadelphia and Drexel Hill, PA and attended West Philadelphia Catholic High School (Class of 52). He worked for over 50 years in the printing industry at Triangle Publications, Hall of Mississippi and Quebecor in Memphis. He has been a member of the Church of the Incarnation in Collierville since 1989. John is survived by his wife of 50 years Sally Ann (Clay), his eight beloved children and their spouses James, Johnny, Michael, Kevin (Seth), Sean (Susan), Elizabeth (Heidi), Brian (Stephanie) and Maureen (Michael). His three granddaughters, Morgan, Lauren and Sally, were his greatest joys.

He is also survived by his sister Margaret and brother Barry (Linda). John had a love of all things Philly sports, especially the Phillies and Eagles when they weren't being bums. Around New Years he was known for a Mummer's string band strut or two. Being the son of Irish immigrants, John loved Irish music and culture. He and his wife Sally travelled to Ireland together in 2010.

With her husband, she was involved with the Memphis NAACP during the height of the movement in the 1950s "and 60s. Mrs. Lockard was a niece of the late Dr. Joseph E. Walker, who, in 1923, was a founder of Universal Life Insurance Company, once one of the largest black owned businesses in America.

She lived several years in New Orleans, LA and later moved to Memphis, TN. She worked as a clerk for the William Lyn Hotel and as a church secretary at Epworth Methodist. She had her real estate license and a journeyman's plumber's license and worked at Cook Brothers plumbing and owned a beauty shop. Algene was president of Perkins Park Garden Club, and she was a member of the order of the Eastern Star for 77 years. She joined Bolton Chapter and was a charter member of Millington Chapter She served as Worthy Matron, was a member of the past Matrons Association, Grand Representative to Manitoba.

Charter member of the past and present Grand Representatives of West Tennessee (President 1980-1981). In retirement, she traveled to every state in the United States and several foreign countries. She was very active in her church. Algene was preceded in death by her husband's Nickey Pastiu and Ed Locke. She is survived by her daughter Nikki Renee Pastiu Fowler; grandchildren, Ena Fowler and William Arvil Fowler, IV and his wife Kayce.

She was born November 16, 1921, in Roellen, Tennessee. She was one of two daughters born to the late Georgia Clay McKain and K.K. McKain. She moved to Memphis when she was 3 years old. She attended Messick High School where she excelled grades, skipping a year in school.

She graduated in 1939. She also played basketball and met her high school sweetheart, whom she later married. She and her high school sweetheart, Marcus Parker, were married in 1939, and were married for 70 years, before he died in 2009. She was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker, until her youngest child started school, at which time she went to work at the Army Defense Depot. She was employed there for 25 years, receiving countless awards for her work.

During the war, she and her husband provided a home for wives of soldiers who were overseas or injured and in the Veterans Hospital. After re- tirement, she and her husband moved to Springville, Tennessee, where they resided for 20 years, before returning to Memphis. Dauris will be remembered always by her beloved children, Dauris Carter, Sandra Parker and Daphne Houseal, treasured eleven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great grandchildren, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her. She was recently preceded in death by her precious great-grandchild, Alton Beckwith Houston, who is a Saint waiting in heaven for her. Dauris was a devoted Christian and a charter member of Independent Presbyterian Church.

She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She touched many lives with her sense of humor and sweet loving spirit. The greatest gift of all that was given to our family by our parents was the knowledge of Jesus Christ as our saviour. I want to offer a special thanks to the staff at Baptist Trinity Hospice for their outstanding care and compassion that helped us through a most difficult time. Pam was a loving and beloved mother and wife. She attended Bishop Byrne High School Christian Brothers University, and received her PharmD from the University of Tennessee in 1982. She served as the President of the Academy of Students Pharmacists from 1980 and was a celebrated member of the professional pharmacist community to the very end, receiving among numerous other awards the Tennessee Pharmacists Association (TPA) Distinguished Young Pharmacist in 1988, Innovative Health-System Pharmacy Practice Award in 2000 while she was Director of Pharmacy, the 2012 2 UT College of Pharmacy Alumnus of the Year, and the 2013 TPA Public Service Lifetime Achievement Award. She was also the 2011- 2012 President of the UT College of Pharmacy Alumni Board of Directors as well as a founding member and two-time President of the Memphis Area Pharmacists Society. She is survived by her husband Steve, son Colin, and many more who knew and loved her.

FLORENCE "Flossie" WILSON QUINN, 100, of Harrisonburg, VA and Memphis, died on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in Harrisonburg, following a sudden attack of acute pancreatitis.

Florence was born on May 20, 1913, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, the daughter of Walter Clyde and Kate Fowlkes Wilson. She moved to Memphis as a child and lived there for seventy years. In 1997, she moved to Harrisonburg, where she became an active member of Sunnyside Retirement Community. She joined Evergreen Presbyterian Church in Memphis in 1930 and maintained her active church membership there for over 83 years; she was also an affiliate member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg. Throughout her life, Florence volunteered in various church and civic groups, including Duration Club and the Leila Hewer Circle of King's Daughters in Memphis, and was employed in several positions, including executive secretary to the vice president, at Southwestern at Memphis, now Rhodes College.

On October 20, 1934, she married John Harvey Quinn, who preceded her in death on February 23, 1989. Her surviving family includes son and daughter-inlaw, John and Joan Quinn of Arlington, VA; daughters and sons in laws, Mary Lou and Challace McMillin of Harrisonburg; and Fay and Frank Isele of Albany, GA; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Her sister, Ashley, and two brothers, Andrew Wilson and Vernon Wilson, preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 14, at 2 p.m., the Rev. Frank was born July 21, 1959 in Dyersburg, TN to Anita Gail Runion Teer and Thomas Len Williams. Frank passed away on June 3, 2013.

He attended Kingsbury High School, and as a Boy Scout, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and was a member of the highest rank in the Order of the Arrow. He was a member of Raleigh United Methodist Church and served the church in various capacities. He rang the 177 year old church bell on Sunday mornings eleven times at the eleventh hour, and served as an usher. Frank belonged to the men's club and the Young at Heart and the Parker Fellowship Sunday School Class. He also volunteered at Job Resource and the two year Job Fair held at the church.

Frank gladly helped out at church whenever and where ever he was needed. He will be truly missed by his church family, as he loved them all dearly. He will be sadly missed by his family, and by his many friends. Frank never met a stranger and always had a friendly smile for everyone he met. He was a good friend, brother, and son.

Frank was previously employed at Stage Road Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant.
